Don Mocona Virgin Lodge - Saltos del Moconá, Misiones, 3364, Argentina

Mocona Falls are 10 meters high waterfalls, interrupting Uruguay River for 3 km in the South-East area of San Pedro, in the Argentine province of Misiones.
A distinctive feature of these waterfalls, or falls, is that they are not cross-wide to the water course as most waterfalls, but lengthwise.
The channel where these waterfalls flow into is a great geological fault which, at some points, reaches 170 meters depth.
“The one who swallows everything”, is the meaning of its name in Guarani language. Upwards, Uruguay River is divided in two arms and while one accompanies the land’s slope, the other runs along a rocky base, until they meet again forming an immense cascade of 5 to 12 meters high and 3 thousand meters long.
All the area of Mocona Falls is considered Provincial Park, including Yaboti Biosphere Reserve. Nature, landscape hiking, and photographic safaris are part of the most relevant activities in the menu. We invite you to be part of this miracle; though there is much more to do and enjoy in this magical place.

The visibility of the falls is subject to river conditions. Falls are higher when water flows are low. Exceptionally, we have seen falls of 20 meters, though height averages are between 4 and 6 meters high.
